To use one is to love it. Patterned after an
L. Francis Herreshoff design, this paddle is
light and functional and breaks into two pieces
for easy portability. Our Admiralty Brass Ferrule
allows the paddler to set the offset of the blades
to the angle of their preference.
Originally designed for canoes, double blades
were very common until the early 1900’s.
They provide a dry and very efficient way to
paddle canoes and touring kayaks.
Our standard double blade is made from spruce
and is available with optional inlaid Cherry
or Walnut tips. It is finished in varnish and
available in 6” increments from 7-1/2’ to
10’.
We suggest an 8-1/2’ for small to
average persons or canoe widths, and 9’ for
average to large persons or canoe widths.
We also offer the double blade in oiled Cherry
or Sassafras and occasionally Birdseye and curly
maple.

Our
Greenland paddle is made from Spruce for its
light weight and strength. It is provided unfinished
so paddlers may make final adjustments to their
personal preferences. Available in 88-1/2" and
84” (storm paddle) lengths. |
